Here’s a quick guide to which versions are supported: Really, if you’re going to play on your PC, just get the PC version of PSO! Let me repeat: if you attempt to play a console version of PSO on an emulator, you’re on your own in terms of support - don’t ask for help if it doesn’t work. I won’t support it if something goes wrong though. Just to put it out there, I do not support playing any of the console (Dreamcast or Gamecube) versions of PSO through an emulator. As such, I recommend using the Sylverant PSO Patcher if you’re using PSOv2 on Sylverant, regardless of whether you have to use it or not. This unlocks the final maps on Cave 1, Cave 3, Mine 1, and Mine 2 on Ultimate mode, which were unavailable due to a bug in Sega’s code. As a final bonus, the Sylverant PSO Patcher also includes Aleron Ives’ map fix patch for all versions of PSOv2 (a first for the Dreamcast!). In addition, for the versions of the game that have a Hunter’s License check, it will disable that as well. This program is able to patch all of the Dreamcast versions of PSO that are supported to connect to the server without using any Codebreaker codes or DNS tricks.
